A 1/2" drill bit is required for this.

It's important to note that finishing the wood can dramatically alter its color. For instance, yellow pine tends to take on a more reddish hue, while white pine may appear brownish. However, this is not always the case, as the final appearance is also influenced by the age of the piece, the environment in which it was housed, and its overall condition.
